2023 National Honours: Kogi Community Steals Show With 3 Awards

It was jubilation galore in Ekinrin Adde m in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi as the Olu Adde of Ekinrin Adde, Olu Anthony Bamigbaye Idowu and two other eminent sons of the Community were nominated for the prestigious National Honours.

While Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu was nominated for the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), Gen. Samuel Adebayo (Chief of Defence Intelligence) is to add to his feathers, the National Award of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic with the Director, Strategy Management, Central Bank of Nigeri (CBN), Mr Clement Oluranti Buari been nominated for Order of the Order of the Niger (OON).

Reacting to the Cheering news, the National Executive Committee of the Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA), congratulated the Olu- Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, His Royal Majesty, Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu, CON, ACA (Ahe-Maworo 1), General Samuel Adebayo and Mr Clement Oluranti Buari, Director, Strategy Management, Central Bank of Nigeri (CBN), on the award of National honors by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Association in a statement by Adekanye, Victor Adewale, National Publicity Secretary said “this news is a particularly heart warming one to receive at this point in the year, and in our history as a people, when our Community is preparing to celebrate the 2023 edition of the annual Ekinrin-Adde Day Carnival and the formal commissioning of Ekinrin-Adde Community Radio (Akogba 88.3 FM), on June 23rd and 24th respectively.”

No doubt, the reign of HRM, Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu, has elevated the community into an undeniable and unprecedented higher realm of progress, peace and advancement. We return all the glory to the Almighty God alone.

“We pray that God will continue to lift up all Ekinrin-Adde Compatriots in their diverse spheres of endeavours and imbue them with increased willingness to continue to be enablers and contributors to our collective quest for the advancement and sustainable development of our homeland.
