Executive Director of Idoko Foundation, Prince Onuche Zico Calls for Sustainable Support for Vulnerable Children at AONN Meeting

At the 2024 Annual General Scientific Meeting of the Association for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Nigeria (AONN), the Executive Director of Idoko Foundation and Deputy State Coordinator in Kogi State, Prince Onuche Idoko, delivered a passionate speech advocating for sustainable support for vulnerable children in the country.

Themed “Quality improvement and localization pathway to resilience and sustainable support for vulnerable children service delivery in Nigeria,” the meeting brought together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders committed to improving the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children across the nation.

While addressing the media, Prince Idoko highlighted the urgent need for sustainable and resilient support systems for vulnerable children, emphasizing the importance of quality improvement and localization in service delivery. He stressed the need for a holistic approach that considers the unique needs and challenges faced by these children.

“As a society, we have a responsibility to ensure that vulnerable children receive the support and care they deserve. We must focus on quality improvement and localization to build resilient systems that can effectively meet the needs of these children,” Idoko stated.

The Executive Director also called for increased collaboration between government, NGOs, and community-based organizations to ensure sustainable support for vulnerable children. He emphasized the importance of empowering these children to become active participants in their own development, enabling them to build resilience and thrive despite their circumstances.

As the meeting concluded, participants committed to working together to implement sustainable solutions that will improve the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Nigeria.
