In a bid to strengthen security in Bunuland and beyond, Hon. Solomon Etannibi, the SSA Drug Abuse and Rehabilitation to Kabba-Bunu LGA Chairman, has commended Governor Usman Ododo and Hon. (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Micheal for the establishment of a Military Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Iluke Bunu district.
Etannibi expressed his gratitude towards the governor for his sensitivity to the security challenges faced by the citizens of Bunuland. He emphasized that the forward base will significantly enhance the security of lives and properties in the area, which has been prone to invasions and attacks by kidnappers.
Highlighting the importance of the military presence in the region, Etannibi commended the chairman for advocating for the establishment of the FOB and the state security adviser, Comdr. Jerry Omodara, for his efforts in making it a reality.
Encouraging the residents of Bunuland to continue supporting the Ododo administration, Etannibi emphasized the need for unity and solidarity in order to attract more development projects and government presence to the region.
With the establishment of the FOB in Iluke Bunu district, the residents can now look forward to a safer and more secure environment, free from the constant threat of insecurity. The presence of the military will undoubtedly bring a sense of peace and stability to the community, ultimately leading to a better quality of life for all.
