Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, made a compassionate visit to the Nigerian Police Force’s Isanlu Division on Saturday, 27 September 2025, to pay his respects and offer support following the recent deaths of two officers in the line of duty.
During his visit, Sen. Karimi urged the men and officers of the division to remain strong and patriotic during this challenging time. He reassured them of the ongoing efforts to eliminate criminal elements from the area and emphasized President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s commitment to national security.
Sen. Karimi disclosed that he had met with the Inspector General of Police to discuss ways to enhance the force’s capabilities in tackling security challenges. Plans were in motion to provide additional equipment to the officers in the near future.
In a gesture of kindness, the senator also made financial donations to the families of the deceased officers to help ease their immediate burden. He was joined on the visit by the Chairman of Yagba East Local Government, Mr. Dare Joshua, and other local leaders.
The delegation emphasized the importance of cooperation between communities and security agencies to bolster local security and support law enforcement personnel. Sen. Karimi’s visit served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by police officers in protecting the public and the need for continuous support and appreciation for their dedication to duty.
