Renowned philanthropist and public affairs commentator, Ambassador Coach Gabriel Abinu, has congratulated Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, on his second anniversary in office, describing his administration as visionary, people-centred, and impactful.
In a statement issued on Tuesday to mark the milestone, Abinu praised Governor Ododo for what he termed “purposeful leadership anchored on humility, vision, and service to the people.”
According to him, the governor’s two years in office have been marked by visible achievements across critical sectors, including health care delivery, education, workers’ welfare, and infrastructural development.
“Governor Ododo has demonstrated that leadership is about service, not noise,” Abinu said. “In just two years, his administration has recorded remarkable progress that speaks directly to the needs of the people. From improved welfare for workers to strategic investments in education, health, and infrastructure, the impact is evident across the state.”
The philanthropist urged the governor to sustain the current momentum and remain focused on policies that directly improve the lives of Kogites, noting that such commitment would continue to earn him the support of the people.
“Today, over two million Kogites at home and in the diaspora are celebrating a man of vision,” Abinu said. “He is humble to the core, a silent achiever, and an accomplished politician who places the welfare of his people above all else.”
He added, “As you mark this milestone, my prayer is that you will continue on this progressive path. Even the blind can feel that there has been a remarkable turnaround in governance since you assumed office two years ago. Keep up the good work—the people are watching, and they appreciate the difference.”
Abinu also emphacized the need for the governor not to be distracted, stressing that consistency in good governance would strengthen public confidence in the administration.
“Good policies will always speak for themselves,” he noted. “The support of Kogites is solid, and with sustained people-oriented governance, the victories of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ododo in the 2027 general elections are assured.”
He further commended the people of Kogi State for their continued support of the current administration, urging them to remain steadfast to enable the governor deliver more dividends of democracy.
“I commend Kogites for standing by this administration,” Abinu said. “This support must be sustained so that the governor can continue to deliver on his promises and deepen development across the state.”
Governor Usman Ododo assumed office on January 27, 2024, succeeding former Governor Yahaya Bello. Since then, his administration has been credited with what many observers describe as a renewed direction in governance, with noticeable improvements in service delivery and overall development across Kogi State.
