The Minister of State FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has felicitated with the government and people of Kogi State on the 31st anniversary of its creation.
Aliyu praised the resilient spirit of Kogites especially during and after the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic that crippled economic activities in most states of the federation.
In a message signed by her, she commended the people of Kogi State for their hard work and unity through the years and salutes the peaceful relations that has existed in the state despite its diversity.
According to the Minister, the celebration was not only about the state, but its people, both at home and in the diaspora.
While felicitating with the people, the Minister admonished citizens not to relent in the pursuit of peace, growth and development for the good of Kogi State.
“The pre and post COVID-19 period has shown how resilient our people are and their ability to live in peace with each other and with visitors to the state.
“As we celebrate this anniversary moreso as the electioneering period commences, I encourage all to vigorously pursue peace and do all to ensure the continued growth and development of Kogi State.” She said.
