The ruling All Progressives Congress APC in Kogi LGA, again says it has harvested some defectors from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
This time, the APC says it has welcome more than 500 PDP Members to APC in Koton-Karfi South East ward (KKSE), expressed optimism that more defection in the coming days.
Speaking with Newsmen, Danladi Bahaushe in Edeha Community of KKSE, stated that Gov. Yahaya Bello has made Kogites proud with his development strides reasons why many are dumping the PDP.
One of the Youth who also spoke said his stay in the PDP has not been rewarding, pointing out that he saw how the APC is responding positively to her members.
Similarly, Amina Muhammed, Amina Abdullahi and Zainab Adamu who all led various Associations to the APC, assured the APC of 80% victory following there joining the Party.
In Ozi Community in KKSE, Daniel Agbo led some other decampees from PDP to APC, ascribed the impact made in there communities by the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu as what is motivating them to join the ruling APC, maintained that they cannot afford to be on lookers in the next dispensation.
Speaking on the development, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, said it is becoming obvious that APC remains the dorminant party in Kogi LGA, hinged the massive defection to the good works of Gov. Yahaya Bello. He expressed optimism that with the influx of people from the opposition party, the APC will record an overwhelming victory in the forthcoming general election across board.
