Arc Salman Idris today August 9, expressed sadness over the demise of Oba Ayeni .
Arc Salman Idris extolled the virtues of the deceased Royal Father, saying his reign had witnessed peace and development in his immediate domain and the entire Kogi State.
He said the Oba left the stage at a time his wise and fatherly counsel were most needed especially in completing the great development ideals he set up for the community and finding a lasting solution to the challenges the community is facing.
He urged the people to take solace in the fact that the departed King lived a good life and died in the service of his people.
He prayed the Almighty God to grant the late monarch a place among the righteous ones in Heaven.
