Hon. Sunday Karimi, Kogi West senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress – APC, in collaboration with the Chairmen of Yagba West, Yagba East and Mopamuro Local Government Areas of Kogi State has ordered immediate commencement of palliative work on the collapsed portions of Yagba Axis of ilorin – Kabba federal road.
The palliative work which is to commence on Monday 17th, 2022 is to lessened the traumatic experience commuters go through on that road.
Hon. Karimi has appealed to the people of Yagba land to be patient, as his covenant with the people of Yagba Federal Constituency remains the total rehabilitation and reconstruction of Kabba – Ilorin road when elected to represent Kogi West at the senate of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
Recall that Hon. Karimi had carried out palliative works on same road between October last year and February this year which has been largely damaged by heavy trucks and flood.
“I feel personally traumatized, pained to see the agonizing situation of our road, my heart equally bled that despite all entreaties, efforts and appeals to the Federal Government, my people still go through that horrible experience”.
“This is not acceptable anymore, we can no longer live with this and by the special grace of God I made bold to say that this is one of the reason why a senator of Yagba extraction is inevitable.”
“We must come together as a people, putting our differences away and united in achieving our common goal. Improvement in the welfare and wellbeing of our people must remain sacrosanct.”
