Breaking News: Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael Orders Immediate Dismantle Of All Revenue Collection Checkpoints In Kabba/Bunu LGA

The Government of Kabba/Bunu LGA in Kogi State has once again order immediate dismantle of all revenue collection checkpoints in the local government area, warned revenue collectors in all the highways and other major roads to desist from the unconstitutional act or face the full wrath of the law.

The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu LGA, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael, gave the directives in Kabba on Thursday while interacting with journalists regarding the activities of the revenue service.

Zacchaeus, who vehemently vowed that the government would continue to against the unlawful act n the system, promised that any revenue collectors that fails to comply with the directives would be apprehended and prosecuted according to the existing laws.

“No more roadblocks for revenue collection in Kabba/Bunu LGA and anybody caught in that act will be dealt with by the government decisively,” he said.

“All revenue checkpoints along Kabba to Lokoja, Kabba to Ayere, Kabba to Ayetoro Gbede, Kabba to Iluke Bunu, and Kabba to Iyara roads are to be dismantled.

The Chairman has directed the Police, DSS, Nigeria Army and NSCDC to take necessary actions of tracking them down immediately, stressed that the government would show no mercy to offenders.

The government states that serious steps are being taken to address highways revenue collections and other vices in the local government area.

Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael urged citizens to embrace lawful behaviour, saying that an enforcement team from the Kabba/Bunu LGA in collaboration with the security agencies would be deployed to carry out an extensive operation for compliance, safety, and a thriving, law-abiding environment for all.
