Cash Backing Promotion Approval: Kogi AUPCTRE Chairman Describes Gov. Bello As Labour Friendly Governor
Kogi State Chairman of Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Technical and Recreational Services Employees, AUPCTRE, Comrade (Engineer) Ahmed Enesi Dauda says the approval for implementation of promotions by Governor Yahaya Bello is a positive development.
Speaking to newsmen in Lokoja, Comrade Enesi commended Gov. Bello for the approval for immediate cash backing of the promotions covering up to 2018
The Chairman, who doubles as the State Chief Vehicle Inspection Officer, described the Governor as labour friendly, says he has demonstrated that commitment through the approval and order for the conduct of promotions from 2019 to date.
According to the AUPCTRE Chairman, the Governor have written his name in gold when the promotions are cash backed and other benefits are attended to.
Comrade Enesi noted with nostalgia, the leadership qualities of Comrade Onu Edoka, the State NLC Chairman, who has always acknowledged that leadership is a responsibility, praised him for achieving another milestone.
He also thanked some key stakeholders such as the Head of Service, Hannah Odiyo and Chairman of the Civil Service Commission for making the promotion implementation possible.
The labour leader congratulated everyone on the positive development, however urged the government to make the Vehicle Inspection Office, which is a Department to a full Directorate as obtained in other states of the Federation
The Chairman also expressed gratitude to the Governor for the successful hosting of the National Conference of Directors /CRTOs of the Federation, saying it is the first of its kind in the North Central.
Comrade Enesi added that with the friendly disposition of the Governor, there will be greater improvement and effectiveness in road traffic management in Kogi State.
