The Bunu Development Association has sent a message of appreciation to Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for the proactive action and security measures as well as mechanism he has put in place towards the restoration of security of lives and properties in the district.
The Bunu Development Association made the disclosure through a communique it issued to Newsmen after an enlarged meeting of the Executive Members.
The meeting of the Bunu Development Association centered majorly on General security in the State and the country as a whole, expressed its appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his fight against insecurity in the country.
The Bunu Development Association, particularly lauded the synergy between the Federal and State Government as well as National Security Agency (NSA) in battling with insecurity in the State, Viz- a-Viz, the Joint security task Force.
The BDA lauded the sacrifices of gallant security personnel who lost their lives during the recent military clearing operation carried out across the State, with Bunu district inclusive, commiserated with the Military, family of officers who lost their lives, wished the injured quick recovery.
The BDA while commiserating with the FGN, Kogi State government, the Nigerian Army and family of the falling heroes, expressed its profound gratitude over the joint operation that has restored peace and security to the district.
The BDA used the communique to pass a vote of confidence on their illustrious sons serving in the present administration of Gov Ododo for their performance in their various official duties, said they are however not surprised as it is a task expected of them as Indigenes of Bunu land and Kogi State in general.
The BDA specifically commended Commodore Jerry Duro Omodara (Rtd), the Security Adviser to Kogi State Government; Hon Wemi Jones (Commissioner for Education); Hon Seyi Bello (House of Assembly Member Representing Kabba/Bunu Constituency; Hon Moses Olorunleke (SA on Security Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency to Gov Ododo and Hon Juwon Olorunnipa Jumabe (SA on Art and Culture to Gov Ododo).
The Communique concluded by calling on sons of Bunu district to assist in dissuading any threat through information sharing and reporting any activities that is inimical to the peace and security of the District.
