In his submissions during the plenary session in the Kogi State of Assembly Chamber today 23rd April 2024, the member representing the good people of Kabba-Bunu State Constituency Hon. Seyi Bello berated EFCC for allegedly disobeying a subsisting court order in the State.

Rt. Hon Speaker sir, it is in public knowledge that In February 2024, The Former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello approached a high court in Kogi state and was granted an order restraining EFCC to arrest him. Mr Speaker sir, you do not expect him submit himself to EFCC when the restraining order is still valid.

According to him, The likes Bello Matawalle, Peter Odili and many more have enjoyed similar court order why is Yahaya Bello own different?

EFCC has challenged the restraining order granted to Yahaya Bello in an appeal court whose judgment is expected to be delivered but EFCC couldn’t wait for the judgement hence they decided to lay siege on his residence. An action that is not even expected of thugs in Nigeria of today.

No wonder, a renowned SAN once said EFCC have always been acting like paper tiger, that he has sued and won them 11 times.

“This is a call to end all frivolous, fictitious campaign against the former Governor of Kogi State” Seyi Bello said.
