Chief Barrister David Shola Aiyedogbon (Charvid), The Director General TINUBU SHETTIMA CAMPAIGN COUNCIL Kogi West Senatorial District, has called on Muslims to offer special prayers for greater peace, unity and continuous progress of Nigeria, as they join their counterparts across the world to celebrate Eid El Maulud, which is the birth of Prophet Mohammed.

The Director General, in a statement signed by his Special Assistant, Mr Charvid enjoined Muslims to follow the exemplary leadership of the Holy Prophet by promoting peaceful co-existence.

Mr Charvid pointed out the significance of Eid-el-Maulud anchored on love, sacrifice, obedience, tolerance and charity, as exemplified by the deeds and teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad, saying such will go a long way to engender national development.

Mr Charvid further said that Prophet Mohammed showed understanding for the various faiths and beliefs in Madinah during his lifetime and never discriminated against any religion, groups or persons during his lifetime. He, therefore, urged Nigerians to emulate his qualities and values as they celebrate the Prophet’s birth.

On the occasion of the birth of the holy Prophet, “I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Kogi West, Kogi State, and Nigeria in general, a happy Eid-el-Maulud” he said.
