On the occasion of the 2024 International Women’s Day, Mrs. Dare Grace, the wife of the Caretaker Chairman of Kabba Bunu LGA, emphasized the importance of investing in women to drive forward progress. She commended Gov. Ododo for creating opportunities for women to thrive politically.
Addressing a group of women in Kabba, Mrs. Dare called for unity among women to create a world where every woman can achieve her full potential.
She highlighted the challenges faced by women globally and stressed the need for leaders to work together to address issues such as poverty, conflict, and inequality that disproportionately affect women.
Mrs. Dare urged governments to prioritize gender-responsive financing and increase public spending on essential services to support women and girls.
She praised the efforts of past and present administrations in Kogi State, including Gov. Yahaya Bello and Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo, for their commitment to gender equality and empowerment of women.
