Ex Lagos Branch EACDA Chairman, Elder Samuel Durotolorun to Receive Distinguished Community Development Service Award At Annual Day

The Chairman of Lagos State Taxi Driver’s Association (Alimosho Branch) and former Chairman Lagos branch of Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association, Elder Samuel Durotolorun has been recognized as a recipient of Distinguished Community Development Service Award at EACDA Awards night scheduled to hold on 21st June .

This development was made public by the community’s spokesman, Adewale Victor Adekanye.

Speaking to our reporter, Adekanye stated that Elder Samuel Durotolorun’s predisposition to community service and long standing commitment to the cause of a progressive and developed Ekinrin -Adde Community is exemplary and deserves recognition.

Elder Samuel Durotolorun was born on 27th March 1952 to the family of late Benjamin Durotolorun and Mrs Janet Durotolorun (Aka Beniyan Ofi Tókóse) Both of Ekinrin-Adde in Ijumu local government of Kogi state.
He attended Baptist Primary School, Ekinrin-Adde where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1970.

In 1972, Elder Samuel Durotolorun worked at Atlantic Textile Mill Ilupeju Lagos, as a factory worker for four years in 1976 before moving to the Nigeria Textile Mill, Lagos as a production foreman and left the work in 1990.

He thereafter worked at the Federal Ministry of Finance for two years in Lagos before he joined Lagos State Taxi Drivers Association. He is currently the Chairman Lagos state Taxi Drivers Association, Alimosho branch.

He served the EACDA Lagos branch in different capacities. He was the Secretary for seven years and vice chairman for a year before he became Chairman for four years from 2015 to 2019. Throughout his tenure, he demonstrated great passion , love and commitment towards any Community Development initiative that would promote the well-being of our Community. He continues to be a very active member of the EACDA Lagos Branch.

He is happily married with children.
