The former frontline All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant in Kabba-Bunu LG, Comrade Segun Joel Arokoyo (Alabiye) has lauded the decision of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello in arriving at the choice of the newly appointed Caretaker Chairmen across the 21 LGA’s in Kogi State.
He went further by saying – ” the executive Governor has endeared himself to me for taking decisive action in spite of the political impasse rocking virtually all the APC’s local chapters. Your excellency, with all the pressures coming from all quarters, you have once again, put to use your rare leadership acumen and charisma to resolve all thorny issues. You are indeed, a leader with immeasurable proportion.” ” I sincerely appreciate you your excellency for considering Ward A in picking the new appointee. It shows that our agitation doesn’t go in vain.”
With the inauguration of the 21 LG Transitional Chairmen, you have shown for the umpteenth time, that you’re a leader who is focused, dynamic and having an eyes on the ball, he emphasized.
Alabiye in his message also applauded the Kabba-Bunu LG APC critical Stakeholders at arriving at the decision of picking a candidate considering the fact that all the aspirants are well qualified and fit enough to govern our dear local government.
He then use the medium to congratulate Barr. Zaccheaus Dare Michael for emerging the chosen one. ” I want to appeal to you to be magnanimous in victory, embrace dialogue and reconcile all warring parties. In a contest of this magnitude, there is no victor nor vanquished,” he admonished.
“As for my teeming supporters and well – wishers, I want to use this opportunity to thank you all for the massive support through the political voyage. Your love and commitment to my aspiration can’t be quantified nor repaid in monetary value. I thank you all for the maximum support.”
He further admonished , “as a party loyalists & Community builder, I want to remind us that what unites us far outweigh what divides us. It is time to look beyond all the rhetorics, sentiments and perceived power play culminating into what transpired today.”
“Albeit , you all felt I was shortchanged because I was in the right position to be your next Caretaker Chairman. But I also remind you, if wishes were horses, beggars would surely ride.”
In finality, “the decision has been made by the party apparatchiks. I do not intend to malign but continue to work as a party faithful. “Without mincing words, I support the emergence of Barrister Zaccheaus Dare Michael as Caretaker Chairman of Kabba-Bunu LG and I will do everything within my constitutional ambit to ensure he succeeds in governing Kabba-Bunu of our dreams.”
