In a heartfelt gesture of sympathy and solidarity, the forum of local government chairmen of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has reached out to the former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, following the tragic death of his son, Hon. Mohammed Idris.
The late Mohammed Idris, a prominent figure in Kogi politics and a former lawmaker who represented Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro Federal Constituencies at the House of Representatives, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 10. Reports indicate that he slumped and died shortly after participating in the Eid prayers in Abuja.
Expressing their deep condolences, the forum chairman, Hon. Johnson Abejirin, on behalf of the local government chairmen, extended their sympathies to the grieving family and friends of the deceased. He described Hon. Mohammed Idris as a dedicated public servant and a beloved member of the PDP family.
“We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Hon. Mohammed Idris. He was a man of integrity and compassion, whose contributions to the political landscape of Kogi State will always be cherished,” Hon. Abejirin stated.
The entire PDP community mourns the passing of Hon. Mohammed Idris and stands in solidarity with the Idris family during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.
