From Unjust Suspensions to Unprecedented Progress: Senator Natasha Uduaghan’s Impactful Legacy in Kogi Central

***Witness the incredible journey of Senator Natasha Uduaghan, leading with resilience and dedication to uplift the people of Kogi Central!

My dearest people of Kogi Central,

Standing here today fills my heart with overwhelming gratitude and emotion. Two years ago, you … my brothers and sisters, my mothers and fathers, my sons and daughters … gave me the sacred trust to represent you in the Senate of our great nation. Today, I stand before you, deeply humbled and eternally grateful for that faith.

First, I thank God Almighty, the author of my destiny, for His mercy and strength. Through every challenge and victory, His grace has been my anchor.

To my dear husband, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, thank you for your love, your patience, and your quiet strength. You have walked this journey with me through thick and thin, and your support reminds me every day that behind every strong woman is a family that believes in her mission.

To the beautiful people of Okene, Adavi, Okehi, Ajaokuta, and Ogori-Magongo, I say from the depth of my heart — thank you. You stood by me when the road was rough, when the storms raged, and when others doubted. You gave me courage when I was weary and hope when I was tested. You are my reason, my inspiration, and my driving force.

These past two years have not been without trials. We have faced obstacles, opposition, and moments that tested our resolve. But through it all, we stood firm — guided by truth, justice, and the collective dream of a better Kogi Central.

Six months out of a year’s legislative work was ripped from us through an unjust suspension. However my legitimacy as senator stayed intact because you resisted a despicable ploy to recall me from the National Assembly. That birthed a renewed commitment of service from my part and an innate pledge to never make you all suffer with me, to never make you feel less than other districts in Nigeria and never make you feel you have lost much from the federal benefits.

So with pride I lay before you the following projects that were facilitated and executed in the course of our illegal suspension and persecution;

In the Senate, I have sponsored and supported bills that speak to our reality — one of which is the Bill for the Establishment of a National Autism and Neurodevelopmental Centre — because every Nigerian child, regardless of ability, deserves dignity, inclusion, and care.

But beyond the walls of the National Assembly, our greatest victories have been in the hearts of the people ;

: in the 2 brand new markets we have built for our traders especially market women. Built in Okene and Okehi LGAs respectively, each market has 80 shops, abattoir, electricity, water supply and toilets.

: Brand new primary and secondary school with teachers quarters , electricity and water supply in the Fulani settlement of Osaka/ Abobo community in Adavi LGA.

: 14 solar powered water reticulation systems; 10 of which are 50,000 litre capacity while 4 are 20,000 litres spread across the 5 local government areas with Ajaokuta and Okaito/ Obangede axis of Okehi LGA having the larger share.

: 2000 smart solar-powered streetlights across the 5 local government areas notably Adogo, Ebiya, Ajaokuta Village, Gergegu, Fulani camps, Township, and Elete for Ajaokuta; while Ogaminana, Nagazi, Kuroko in Adavi, Iruvusechi, Obangede, Okaito, FCE, Erika Ohizenyo, Oboroke Market, Uhuodo and Itakpe in Okehi LGA.

: Police housing quarters for the Ihima police station

: A police patrol van and an electric speed bike for the police station.

: 8 brand new 500kva ABB transformers for the 5 local governments

: Mega empowerment for 2000 constituents with career and trade transforming tools and equipments not limited to the electric solar-powered vehicles, deep freezers, gas cookers, sewing machines, farmers pesticide spraying tools, grinding machines, fish ponds, cobbler machines etc

May I also mention here that in the month of July 2025, during the illegal suspension, our office facilitated the training and empowerment of 230 women and youths who were given 80 DJI drones, 50 HP Laptops, 50 renewable energy tools, 50 advanced welding and fabrication tools.

We also commissioned the NLNG donated General Electric Computed Tomography machine (CT Scan) at the Federal medical centre Lokoja, Kogi state.

The Kogi Central People’s Company

To promote the spirit of communal ownership , participation and sustainable development; upon consultation, we decided to register a peoples’ company limited by guarantee named the Kogi Central People’s Company which closely mimics the People’s Association of Singapore. The Company will manage assets and participate in necessary charitable interventions for the greater good of all Kogi Central communities.

For this success, I owe deep appreciation to my legislative team, political family, and supporters across the five local government areas, Kogi state and Nigeria at large. Your dedication keeps the engine of service running. To my fellow senators and colleagues, thank you for the spirit of partnership and collaboration.

As we look ahead, I reaffirm my commitment to remain accessible, accountable, and action-driven. My mission is not just to represent Kogi Central in Abuja, but to ensure that every policy, every budget, and every reform reflects the heartbeat of our people.

My promise to you remains the same — I will continue to serve with courage, compassion, and integrity, upholding the values that define us as a proud and resilient people.

To the women and youths who see in me a reflection of their hopes — never doubt that your voice matters. To my elders who stood by me through the storm — your prayers have carried me farther than you can imagine.

This celebration is not about me; it is about us — about the journey we have begun and the future we are building together.

May God bless Kogi Central,
May God bless Kogi State,
And may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Sincerely yours
Senator Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan
Kogi Central for Nigeria 🇳🇬
