The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu has donated the sum of N1m to Community Secondary School Gegu Beki.
Engr. Bashiru disclosed that the present administration of Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo is committed to building on the legacies of Gov. Yahaya Bello in the area of education.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the present administration to surpass previous achievements in the education sector, lauded Gov. Ododo for placing youths and sports Development as priority in his administration.
The Commissioner made the donation during the 19th inter house competition of the school, described Gov. Ododo as one who is desirious of making education the bedrock of sustainable development.
The commissioner appreciated Gov. Ododo for his giant strides in education since assumption of office, says with the steps he has taken thus far he is committed to consolidating on the gains of the past administration.
Engr Bashiru described sports Development as one that must not be relegated in the lives of students, expressed appreciation with the performances displayed by students of Community Secondary School Gegu Beki.
The Nyiwo of Gegu Beki, HRH Alh Muhammed Abba Alhassan appreciated Engr. Bashir Gegu for his support to the development of young people, described him as a worthy son who is never tired of developing the society positively in all ways possible.
The Nyiwo House came first in the inter house school competition with 375 points.
