Governor Ododo promises Improved Welfare package For Kogi Workers

In a bid to prioritize the welfare of civil servants in Kogi State, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has promised to implement improved welfare packages for workers in the state.

Following an interactive session with leaders of the organized labour in the state, Governor Ododo assured of his commitment to addressing the impact of the economic downturn on workers in the public sector.

Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Ismaila Isah, highlighted that the meeting with the labour leaders was aimed at reviewing critical steps taken by the state government to improve the welfare of civil servants.

Governor Ododo emphasized the importance of regular engagement with workers and other critical stakeholders for the progress and development of the state, noting that the welfare of workers will be a major priority of his administration.

Leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the state expressed satisfaction with Governor Ododo’s interventions in improving the welfare of workers in the state. They commended the Governor for his candour and optimism in addressing economic hardship faced by workers and expressed confidence that the promised improved welfare will be realized under the most labour-friendly administration in the history of the state.

Chairman of the NLC, Amari Gabriel, and TUC chairman, Sule Ahmed Tijani, both praised the interactive session with the Governor, noting that it will strengthen the relationship between the organized labour and the government.

With a commitment to making the welfare of workers a top priority, Governor Ododo’s promise of improved welfare packages for Kogi workers is a step in the right direction towards enhancing the lives of civil servants in the state.
