***Reaffirms unalloyed support to his leadership
Last Sunday 6th of November, 2022, members of the Osun State command of Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), NURTW Ife branch and Choice 22 respectively held meetings with Hon. Soji Ajeigbe – son of the late High Chief Simeon Adebayo Ajeigbe (Baba Gomina).
Citing the antecedents and leadership dispositions of High Chief Ajeigbe, the groups unanimously declared and affirmed Hon. Soji Ajeigbe as their new leader who will continue the good legacy of Baba Gomina.
According to the groups, their decision to declare support for Hon. Soji Ajeigbe is to ensure that the political structures of the late High Chief Ajeigbe do not sink because Baba Gomina had a good political foresight as well as sound leadership experience.
According to a statement by the President of CHOICE 22, Princess Foluwake Adebisi said Baba Gomina held the group in high regard when he was alive. She added that in order for the structure not to die, there is a need for the emergence of a new leader and Soji Ajeigbe is perfectly fit to step into his father’s shoes.
The Osun State commandant of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Commander Akintola Fatai, said through the late Baba Gomina, members of the VGN worked assiduously for the victory of Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke. Commander Akinola said the group believe Senator Adeleke is competent, a man with proven track records and ability to move our dear state, Osun, forward.
While responding, Hon. Soji Ajeigbe thanked the groups for their show of love and support. He promised to accommodate them for the progress of the State, charging them to double their efforts in in order to ensure landslide victory for all PDP candidates in the fast-approaching general elections.
