The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, OHCSF, has come out to debunk recent publications on social media regarding recruitment and employment procedures. In a statement released by Mrs Eno Olotu, Head of Information and Public Relations, the OHCSF described the publications as false and urged the public to disregard them.
According to the OHCSF, the publications were the work of fake job racketeers and scammers attempting to deceive unsuspecting individuals. The office emphasized that all matters concerning recruitment and employment in the Federal Civil Service are solely under the jurisdiction of the Federal Civil Service Commission and other authorized government institutions.
The statement further clarified that any legitimate employment opportunities within the Federal Civil and Public Service will be officially published on government websites and portals. The OHCSF also pointed out that the person and institution mentioned in the online publications do not exist, and the listed portal is not affiliated with the Federal Civil Service Commission or the OHCSF.
In light of this, the OHCSF advised the public to exercise caution and vigilance to combat fraudulent recruitment schemes and unauthorized solicitations for payments related to Federal Civil employment. By remaining vigilant, individuals can protect themselves from falling victim to scammers seeking to exploit them under false pretenses.
The OHCSF’s response serves as a reassurance to the public that recruitment and employment procedures within the Federal Civil Service adhere strictly to established protocols and guidelines. As such, individuals are encouraged to rely only on official government sources for information regarding job opportunities to avoid falling prey to fraudulent schemes.
