Earlier today, Her Excellency, Hajj. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu paid a condolence visit to the British High Commissioner, Her Excellency, Ms. Catriana Laing, in Abuja over the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

“The Queen’s passing signifies the end of an era, and she will be remembered not only as a British monarch but also as a mother whose leadership and steadfastness was respected worldwide.
“Her visits to Nigeria in 1956 and 2003, respectively, demonstrate her motherly love for all Commonwealth Nations.
“She was a visionary leader who worked for the growth and development of her people and also helped to make the world a better place.
“I extend my condolences to the leadership and people of the United Kingdom and its residents, and the entire world on this significant loss.
“I pray that God gives King Charles III and the people of Britain the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
