The Former member, Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Jethro Funsho Oni and member, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic, Ile Oluji, was recently honoured by the management of The PROJECTOR Newspaper on her 10th year anniversary of the news tabloid with a “Humanitarian Award.
According to the Publisher, the awards recognises and celebrate individuals and corporate bodies, who have distinguished themselves in their various endeavours and have contributed to human capacity building, community development, professionalism, as a way to let them know that their contribution to making life better has not gone unrecognizable.
Hon Jethro Funsho Oni, Chop Chop as popularly called, was said to have been very impactful on his immediate community and beyond.
He was described as a celebrated Politician, a Humanitarian, a Philanthropist and a Visionary par excellence.
“He is a role model, an inspiration, a respected and beloved humanitarian.
“Your landmark developmental activities in your community is beyond mention and posterity will always be kind to you.
In his response, Hon. Jethro Funsho Oni expressed appreciation for the recognition.
He stated that whatever he has been doing is nothing but a way of life. “I believe that by developing others, I become a better version of myself” he said.
He promised to do more and urge others who God has blessed to see it as a responsibility to also lift up others.
