Hon Makinde Hosts Constituents At Annual Townhall Meeting

Hon Abiola Peter Makinde, Member House of Reps, representing Ondo East and West Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly has successfully held his annual Townhall Meeting with Constituents.

Ondo Political stakeholders; appointees, elected, leaders,youths and candidates, Head of Professional Associations, Student Unions, Royal Fathers, Religious Leaders, Landlord Associations, Youth Associations, Market Women,Artisans, Security Heads and more, were all hosted by Hon Makinde at the Annual Townhall Meeting held at Adoc Events Centre in Ondo City on Saturday 3rd September 2022.

The progress that have been recorded in the past one year and the journey of representation was reviewed. Hon Makinde acknowledged the support of the people is the major motivation he has to keep raising the bar and performing excellently.

It was a great time as constituents were afforded the opportunity to ask questions ranging from good governance, projects and even personal ones of their Member House of Representatives. Constituents appreciated Hon Makinde for bringing a kind of representation that had never been experienced in the history of the Federal Constituency. Some offered suggestions, prayers and messages of goodwill to Hon Makinde and pledged their unalloyed commitment to ensure he returns elected as Member House of Representatives in 2023.

Hon Makinde stressed the importance of accountability for political office holders as it is one of the ways to really connect to those they represent. He also used the avenue to reiterate his commitment to the development of our great city and also promised to continue to deliver on his WEALTH campaign mantra meaning Water, Education, Agriculture, Light, Training and Health. He thanked everyone present and appreciated them for taking time to attend.
