Hon. Wemi Jones Joins Okun land’s Elite at Summit to Unlock Full Potential, Inspects Govt Projects, Pays Tribute to Late Chief Jonah Medaiyese Baiyeshea

Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, the Honorable Commissioner for Education, recently joined other respected stakeholders at the Okun Development Association (ODA) Stakeholders Summit with the theme “Unlocking Okunland’s Full Potential through Strategic Partnerships.” The summit was aimed at addressing critical issues related to the unity, progress, and development of Okunland.

During the summit, the stakeholders discussed various strategies to enhance the growth and development of the region through collaborations and partnerships. Key topics such as infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment with serious emphasis on security were extensively deliberated upon, with a collective commitment to working together for the greater good of Okunland.

Following the summit, Hon. Jones and some government appointees from Okun Land embarked on an inspection tour of capital projects initiated by His Excellency, Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, in Kabba town and Ayetoro Gbede respectively. The visit was aimed at assessing the progress of the projects and ensuring that they were being executed in line with the set standards and timelines.

In a related development, Hon. Jones also attended the burial reception of Late Chief Jonah Medaiyese Baiyeshea, a renowned stakeholder in Okunland, in Olle-Bunu, LGA. Chief Baiyeshea, who is the father of Rev. John Olushola Baiyeshea SAN, was a respected figure in the community, and his passing was mourned by many.

The events of the day showcased Hon. Wemi Jones’ commitment to the progress and development of Okunland, as well as his dedication to honoring and celebrating the contributions of distinguished individuals in the region.
