Ijumu LG Boss Woos Kogi SUBEB Chairman to Transform Public Schools

The Transition Caretaker Chairman Ijumu Local Government Area, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna on Friday met with the Executive Chairman of Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in his office in Lokoja.

Recalled that the Caretaker Chairman recently engaged the service of an Education Consultant and commenced tour of Public schools beginning from Iyara, headquarters of the Local Government.

According to him, the meeting was in demonstration of his commitment to ensuring that every child in Ijumu has unfettered access to quality basic Education.

He used the opportunity to present the challenges of Primary and Junior Schools in Ijumu to the SUBEB Executive Chairman.

In his words “Issues at the front burner of the meeting bothered on improving basic Education and to come up with a collaborative approach geared towards ensuring that every child has access to Education.

Responding, the Executive Chairman, Abdulrazaq Mohammed commended the Caretaker Chairman for being proactive in the discharge of his duties.

He assured of the support of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to consolidate on the achievements of former Governor Yahaya Bello in the education sector, assuring that all his requests will be attended to.
