***Says Collaboration key in push to erase crime from Kabba-Ayere Expressway

Today, the Honourable Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Hon. Ibrahim Haruna, led a team of security vigilantes from Ijumu to the Kabba-Ayere Expressway, which serves as the border town between Kogi and Ondo States.

The Honourable Chairman praised the efforts of His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for his strong initiative to curb the menace of kidnapping along the expressway. This includes providing tools to enhance the capabilities of the local government security vigilantes in combating kidnapping incidents in the area.

During the visit, the Honourable Chairman engaged with army personnel stationed at the border between Kogi and Ondo States. He emphasized the need for information sharing and collaboration to completely eradicate kidnappers operating in the region.

The army personnel at the checkpoint expressed their appreciation for the Honourable Chairmanā€™s efforts and pledged to work closely with Ijumu local hunters and vigilantes to ensure the safety and security of the highway.
