Ijumu Unity Group, a political pressure group has fixed its National Congress for the 1st day of October, 2022 at Iyara Civic Center commencing by 10am.
In a statement by the Media Committee of the National Congress, it was revealed that, the group which at its formation in 2008 was named Ijumu Integrity Group (IIG) was later rechristened Ijumu Progressives Group (IPG) before its metamorphosis to its present identity.
With its conception and creation premised on the need to curtail excesses and impunity in the political system of Ijumu Kingdom, Ijumu Unity Group (IUG) is now rejuvenated to liberate Ijumu Kingdom from the shackles of stark incompetence, skewed political practices and destabilization of age long arrangements in the polity.
Ijumu Unity Group (IUG) is now poised to return to the good old days of noble virtues, orderliness and decorum in all areas of life for the people that made the Kingdom a positive reference for all and sundry.
The rejuvenated Ijumu Unity Group (IUG) is now a congregation of Ijumu sons and daughters committed to a renaissance that will totally reform the politics of the Kingdom for its economic and sociopolitical advancement.
In a statement by the Media Team for the National Congress, the people of Ijumu Kingdom have the assurance that they can look forward to a New Dawn of unity and development.
The statement further promised that the National Congress of Ijumu Unity Group (IUG) will chart a new path to a prosperous Kingdom of enhanced living standard now and hope for sustainable decent living for generations yet unborn.
The epoch making event the statement added could not have come at a more appropriate time with the 2023 general elections fast approaching.
The task of clearing the cloud of mediocrity over the political landscape in Ijumu Kingdom will be done to pave way for a new era of good things for the Kingdom and its people.
