Ijumu youth for good governance begins it Supervision visit to various PVC registration centre across Ijumu Local government.
The group aim was to ensure that youths in ijumu are not denied the opportunity to participate and vote for candidates of their choice ahead of next year’s general election.
The convener of the group Comr Adeyeye Bamidele explained that the essence of the group supervision was intended to draw out more youths to participate in the ongoing PVC registration exercise.
He said “Ijumu youth for good governance today has begin to encourage the youth in Ijumu land and across the nation to not only register for their PVCs but also ensure they collect the cards when they are ready and head to the polls to vote with it.
While stating the challenges the group encounter in the supervision process, Comrade Bamidele lamented on the shortage of power supply, inadequate manpower and Staff by the INEC to the massive turnout been encountered at the registration centers.
The group urged all eligible youths who are yet to register to take advantage of the ongoing CVR exercise by INEC to do so before the expiration of the June 30 deadline.
