The Internet Society Nigeria Chapter, under the leadership of Engr. Kunle Olorundare, proudly marked the 2025 edition of Girls in ICT Day with the theme: “Girls in ICT for Inclusive Digital Transformation” at Community High School, Ayetoro Gbede, Ijumu LGA, Kogi State.
The impactful event was organized by Olumobi John Adewale and facilitated by Adeyeye Bamidele, drawing the participation of over 120 across SS1-SS3 girls alongside the school’s top management team. The session focused on exposing young girls to opportunities in the ICT field, encouraging them to envision a future empowered by technology and innovation.
Special appreciation goes to the Ayetoro Global Network for their invaluable contribution towards a well-equipped ICT center, which significantly enhanced the quality of the engagement.
The students were highly coordinated, actively participated in discussions and demonstrated strong interest in building digital skills a clear indication that the future of tech in Kogi State is bright and inclusive.
