The 2022 edition of the annual Ipetumodu Day celebrations held today 5th November was an epoch-making event as the Yeyeluwa of Edeland, Chief (Dr) Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, set the ball rolling when she announced the donation of a whooping sum of N2million towards the ongoing building project.
Chief (Dr) Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni was the Chief Launcher at the N500 million appeal fund for the building of Apetumodu Ultra-Modern Palace and the 28th edition of Ipetumodu Day celebration held at Origbo Community High School Playground, Ipetumodu township.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief (Dr) Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni who was ably represented by a prominent member of the Osun Transition Committee, Hon. (Mrs) Abimbola Dunsin Adeyemo, congratulated the Chief host, the Apetumodu of Ipetumodu, His Royal Highness, Oba (Prof) Joseph Olugbenga Oloyede (Latimogun i) and all sons and daughters of Ipetumodu and neighbouring communities on the auspicious occasion of the grand finale of the 2022 edition of Ipetumodu Day celebration and the Second Phase of the launching of the sum of N500million for the completion of the ongoing Apetumodu Ultramodern Palace.
Hon. (Mrs) Dunsi Abimbola described the occasion as a landmark event in the annals of Ipetumodu, stressing that a befitting palace for the Apetumodu would be a thing of pride to the sons and daughters of the town.
She thanked the good people of Ipetumodu and the entire Ife North local government for voting massively for the governor-elect, Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke, with a total votes of 10,359 defeating the APC in the July 16 governorship election, reiterating commitment to the development of the town and Osun State as a whole.
