A front line aspirant of Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency Arc. Idris Salman has emerged the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) with a total votes of 73 beating his closet rival , Idris Oluwafemi Rufus who polled 4 votes while Adetokunbo Olorundami scored zero and 1 invalid vote respectively.
The primary election which was held in Kabba under a very tight security and peaceful atmosphere, adjudged to be transparent and credible.
While declaring the results, the returning officer of the party, Hon. Shola Adebola described the exercise as credible hence he enjoined all party members to continue to support the party to win elections in the federal Constituency, stressing that the party is set to replicate the same performance the people of Yagba are experiencing.
Addressing journalists shortly after he was declared the winner of the primary, Arc. Idris Salman commended the leadership of the party for providing the enabling environment for them to have a hitch free exercise, promised to woo all party members and electorates to deliver the party at the general elections.
According to him, he was overwhelmed by the show of love displayed by the delegates electing him to fly the flag of the party at the forthcoming general elections in the Constituency, pointing out that the people will embrace the party based on their programs that is verifiable.
