The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael extends his heartfelt congratulations to Alhaji Zakari Dare Ejibunu on his election as the President-General of the Kabba Development Union (KDU) at the National Delegates Congress in Kabba, on August 23, 2025.
The Chairman also congratulates other newly elected members of the KDU executive. He praises the Union for organizing a rancour-free election at the congress.
Zacchaeus says Zakari Dare Ejibunu’s overwhelming victory was a testament to the KDU members’ confidence in his leadership qualities, urged him and his team to unite the community, seek for peace, and immediately reaching out to other branches of KDU across the country and abroad to come together for the betterment of Owe Kingdom.
He expresses optimism that Zakari’s experience will be instrumental as he leads the Union to build result-oriented synergy with the local government and the traditional council to drive meaningful development to the community.
“Once again, we heartily congratulate Alhaji Zakari Dare Ejibunu, our illustrious son, on this gigantic but pyrrhic electoral milestone. We hope and believe you will administer and leave KDU BETTER than you met it,” Zacchaeus added.
Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael acknowledged the leadership of the Obaro of Kabba, HRM Oba Dr Dele Solomon Owoniyi who had placed the community on the path of progress by prioritizing peace among the people, and initiating a healing process among the various ethnic groups.
He reiterates the administration’s commitment to ensuring a free and independent union to deepening democracy and promoting community development.
He, therefore, expects Zakari’s tenure to reflect a strengthened commitment towards upholding communal ethics while fostering a collaborative relationship with the government to build a just and equitable society.
He wishes Zakari Dare Ejibunu and his team a successful and impactful term in office.
