For the second time and within a space of three years, Kabba, Kogi State born Success Oluwaseun Adeniyi, a graduate of Evangel College, Aiyeteju, Kabba, Kogi State broke the 2025 UTME/JAMB records with a total aggregate scores of 325 last week.
After he scored 303 sometime in 2021, ranking him a high performing candidate in Kogi State, he was offered Anatomy instead of Medicine & Surgery he applied to study with the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.
He reluctantly accepted the offer of admission, but with a goal to someday aspire to study his dream course of Medicine & Surgery.
Presently a 200 level student of Anatomy, he realized that it was sacrosanct to pursue his dream career to become a Neuro-Surgeon like the world renowned Surgeon, Benjamin Carson. This is the reason he sat for this year 2025 UTME/JAMB again breaking the table as one of the best candidates in Nigeria and representing Kogi State with an aggregate scores of 325 in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
It is imperative to note that this proud Kogi State born high performing student lost his biological father to a ghastly motor accident while on a business trip from Kabba to Lagos a few years ago. It has not been easy for his road side provision-seller mum to raise him and three other siblings.
We therefore appeal to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh Usman Ododo; the Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones; Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area Chairman, Hon (Barr) Zacchaeus Dare Michael; and well meaning Kabba, Okun, Kogi State indigents, and Nigerians to consider offering this bundle of talent and future Neuro-Surgeon a SCHOLARSHIP either home or abroad to achieve his dream. An investment into Success Oluwaseun Adeniyi’s career would without doubt bring a rewarding gain to Kogi State and our dear nation in the unforeseeable future.
