Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area and the ALGON Chairman in Kogi State Hon. Taufiq Isah has called on Nigerians to love another irrespective of their tribes, religion or political affiliations, stressing that it has become expedient for all to work together in tackling the security challenges in the country.
He also used the occasion to appreciate Governor Yahaya Bello for believing in him to serve in the capacity he is currently serving despite his many political blunders, pointing out that his unalloyed loyalty to him will continue as long as he lives on earth.
He disclosed this at his country home in Odokoro-Gbede community, Ijumu Local Government Area while addressing newsmen shortly after the Eid prayer.
According to him, Governor Yahaya Bello is a God sent that has come to change the narrative of his life and that of the state, hence God will continue to propel him to a higher level that he will still serve the country.
He said in line with the Governor’s directive, no criminal will be allowed to hold sway in his territory and other 20 local government areas, while appealing to all parents to warn their wards and family members to desist from crimes as the government will not take it lightly with them.
He used the occasion to congratulate Oba Elewonubi II, on the victory of his court case which confirmed him to be the legal occupant of the stool, stressing that all legal issues concerning the stool has been laid to rest.
He said they are all brothers, hence it is time for all and sundry to work together for the overall development of the community.
He thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for upgrading the traditional stool of his community, Odokoro-Gbede to third class chief, appreciated the mounmetal roles played by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in getting it done.
