Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has hailed Kogi United for reaching the Semi Final of the Aiteo Cup, charging the Club to win the trophy for the good people of the Confluence State.
Fanwo made the charge while reacting to the victory of Kogi United at the Quarter Final, saying all the people of Kogi are united behind their darling team.
“I am glad that we have powered into the Semi Final of the prestigious Aiteo Cup. Millions of Kogi people are rooting for our dear male team. You have defeated the defending Champions of the Premier League to reach this level. There is no stopping you from here.
“We are backing you to qualify for the final and make history as the first ever Kogi Team to play in the Final of the historic competition.
“Your untiring resoluteness typifies the true Kogi spirit of resilience and determination to win. It is our dream to see you lift the trophy and represent our country on the continent next year”.
He called on Kogites to pray for the Team so that they would bring the glory home, saying the team is in high spirits to deliver the trophy.
The Final of the tournament will hold in Bayelsa next week.
