Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and Candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the 2023 General Elections, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole has received with grief and shock, the news of the death of HRH Oba Jerome Elisha Mosiko, (JEM Kiri), the Olukiri of Kiri Kingdom whose demise occurred a few days ago at the age of 103.
He also sympathized and commiserate with the immediate family and people of Kiri Kingdom in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area over his demise, stressing that it is devastating and painful to lose a father figure, friend and such a prominent traditional ruler in Okun land whose activities towards the overall development of not only Kiri land, Okun nation but humanity cannot be over emphasized.
He commiserates with the Kiri council of chiefs, the Olubunu of Bunuland, HRM Oba Joseph Adebayo Ikusemoro, Traditional Head of Bunu land and other sons and daughters of Kiri land over the death of their Monarch.
Speaker Kolawole said it is painful to have lost such a Monarch at this time when his wealth of experience and support is needed most in the community but takes solace in the words of God which says, there is time to be born and time to die as a mortal, praying that God will grant his immediate family and the community the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
It is on this note that Rt. Hon.(Prince) Matthew Kolawole, on behalf of his family, the people of Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, members, management and staff of the Assembly wish to sympathize and commiserate with the family and community on the death of their beloved traditional ruler, husband, father and grandfather, His Royal Highness, Oba Jerome Elisha Mosiko, (JEM Kiri), the Olukiri of Kiri land.
