Kogi State Commissioner for Finance hosts maiden edition of MAAI Mathematics Quiz Competitio
The Honourable Commissioner for Finance in Kogi State, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris FCA, recently hosted the kick off edition of the MAAI Mathematics quiz competition, with 12 secondary schools participating in the event. He emphasized the state’s commitment to education and human capital development under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA.
In his address to the participants, Commissioner Idris highlighted the importance of mathematics in the students’ educational journey and expressed his belief that the quiz competition will help unveil hidden talents. He also thanked the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Hon Wemi Jones FCIB, for his support in organizing the event.
The event marks a significant step towards achieving the state’s 32-year development plan, which includes a focus on ‘Building Resilience’ through investment in education and other key sectors. The quiz competition is just one of many initiatives aimed at improving education in Kogi State and developing the potential of its young citizens.
