In a swift response to recent rumours, the Management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has issued a statement refuting claims of a security breach within the institution.
The Rector, Salisu Ogbo Usman, PhD, FCIA, addressed the malicious rumour that had been circulating, alleging that kidnappers had invaded the Polytechnic. Usman firmly declared the rumour as fake and malicious, emphasizing that it was an unfounded fabrication.
Assuring the safety and security of both staff and students, Usman confirmed that both campuses of the Polytechnic in Lokoja and Itakpe were calm and peaceful. He highlighted that academic activities had been running smoothly, with no disruptions reported.
Parents, guardians, and stakeholders were urged to disregard the baseless rumours and instead trust in the robust security measures put in place by the Polytechnic Management, supported by the Kogi State Government.
The Rector extended his gratitude and blessings to all, concluding the statement with a firm stance against the spread of false information.
