Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have insisted that they will resist any attempt to change the list of delegates voted for at the Ward level for the election.
The Stakeholders alleged that the delegate list has been changed to favour a particular government preferred Aspirant which they described as a move to lose the seat to the opposition if the right thing is not done.
Spokesman for the Stakeholders, Dapo Olutekunbi said the elected delegate on the original list must be allowed to elected their aspirants of their choice.
According to him, any attempt to repeat the kangaroo APC Kogi West Primaries will be greeted with serious resistance.
We’re aware that the list has been changed and we will do everything within our powers to resist them. This party belongs to all of us, we will not allow well respected delegates who have traveled from far and near to come to Kabba and their names will be missing.”
He also alleged that the original delegate list which has been submitted to the nation’s electoral umpire, INEC was not the same list used at the House of Assembly and House of Representatives primaries.
Olutekunbi, who is a Chieftain of the Party said the stakeholders are watching and are monitoring the political script.
