In a significant stride towards ensuring the commencement of full academic activities in the upcoming 2023/2024 academic year, Kogi State University (KSU) Kabba welcomed a team of representatives from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for an extensive resource verification visit.
Led by the visionary Vice Chancellor of KSU, the visit aimed to showcase the institution’s commitment to providing top-notch facilities and a conducive learning environment for its students. The NUC team, warmly received at the university’s permanent site, embarked on a comprehensive tour of the three sprawling campuses, meticulously inspecting every aspect of the university.
Lecture theaters, classrooms, laboratories, studios, libraries, including the state-of-the-art e-library, and workshops were diligently assessed by the NUC officials, who also evaluated the human resources, including faculty and staff, that form an integral part of KSU’s academic prowess.
With an unwavering determination to excel in every aspect of education, the Vice Chancellor firmly assured the verification team of the resolute support from the Honorable Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the University management, as well as the relentless dedication of friends of the University. Together, they are driven by the compelling vision to see KSU Kabba emerge as a formidable force, surpassing all existing standards and becoming the epitome of academic excellence.
As KSU Kabba embarks upon this evaluation process, the stage is set for the university to receive the coveted seal of approval from the NUC. Once endorsed, it will catapult KSU Kabba ever closer to its ultimate goal – creating an inclusive and dynamic learning community that nurtures scholarly minds and prepares students to face the challenges of the future.
