Despite prevailing economic and social challenges, Nigeria and citizens will see the emergence of a prosperous, and blessed country if we promote, and sustain the principles of love, unity, togetherness, Rt. Hon. TeeJay Yusuf has said.
In his Eid-el-Fitri message to commemorate the end of Ramadan, Yusuf, a former three-term Member of the House of Representatives, and Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Kogi West Senatorial candidate at the 2023 general elections, enjoined Muslim faithful to sustain the teachings, and lessons learnt during the Holy Month by upholding the virtues, and commands of Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W). He also urged
Muslims to continue in the way of holiness and modesty as demonstrated by Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him).
The former lawmaker also counselled “all Nigerians to continue to express, and extend love to one another irrespective of religion, tribe, and ethnicity. As a nation, our strength lies in our diversity, as we continue to sustain true and enduring virtues of compassion, sacrifices, and good neighborliness our dear country shall weather through these difficult times and experience meaningful growth and development.”
While acknowledging the vagaries of challenges across the country, Yusuf solicits for “continued prayers for God’s guidance, wisdom, knowledge, and direction upon all our Leaders, at different levels to do the right thing and take appropriate decisions in their quests for good governance, prosperity, meaningful development, and general well being of Nigerians and the country.”
