Little Miss Kogi Queen Aishat Salau Audu meets with Minister for Youth Development, Speaks on Girl Child Empowerment at Girl Future Conference 2025

In a landmark event commemorating the International Day for Girl-Child 2025, Little Miss Kogi Queen Aishat Salau Audu paid a visit to the Honourable Minister for Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, as the Federal Ministry of Youth Development presented the Girl Future Conference 2025.

Queen Aishat used the platform to address an important issue affecting girl child empowerment. She spoke against the common statement made by teachers, “what happens in the school should remain in the school”, emphasizing the importance of girls sharing their experiences with their parents. She highlighted that many issues faced by girls could be prevented if parents were aware of them early on.

The event, themed “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis”, took place on Friday, 10th of October, 2025, at the Conference Room, Block D, First Floor, Federal Ministry of Youth Development. The program included the Girl Future Conference 2025, the IDG 2025 National Leadership Essay Competition, and the Girls takeover where girls shadowed the Minister for Youth Development.

The conference aimed to empower and inspire girls to take charge of their lives and be leaders in times of crisis. With Queen Aishat’s passionate speech and the engaging activities lined up for the day, the event was a huge success in promoting girl child empowerment and advocating for their rights.
