In preparations for the forthcoming National Congress of Ijumu Unity Group coming up on the 1st of October, 2022, the Planning and Strategy Committee of the event headed by the Group Chairman, Chief Hon Funsho Olumoko led his team to the palace of Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni penultimate Sunday.
The Group Chairman told the revered traditional patriarch that his team was on a familiarization visit to the palace to brief His Royal Majesty of the aims and objectives of the group and to officially invite his Majesty and other Ijumu traditional rulers to the group event. Olumoko emphasized that there is serious need to bring Ijumu socio-political system back on track before we finally lose all the remarkable efforts of our forefathers.
In his response, Oba Ayeni thanked the group leader and his team members and reiterated that from the aspirations of the group if carried out with tenacity and sincerity, that he has no doubt the Ijumu Kingdom will be good for it. The soft spoken Kabiyesi prayed for a successful congress of the group and promised that God spearing our lives he will surely mobilize the traditional leaders to honour the invitation.
Amongst those that accompanied the IUG leadership to the palace are the group Secretary, Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho, the group Liaison Officer, Chief Taiye Ikupeleye, the group treasurer, Hon Boye Bello and a host of others.
