The Managing Director of Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC) Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, says the nation has lost a man who’s life is all about peaceful coexistence.
The Managing Director made the disclosure through the Kogi State Coordinator of HYPPADEC, Engr. Mrs. Joan Oguche, when the Commission paid a condolence visit to the family of the Late Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi 111 whose demise on Wednesday.
The HYPPADEC State Coordinator who led a powerful delegation of the Commission to the Palace of the Maigari of Lokoja, praised the Late Traditional Ruler for the solid support he gave the Commission, described him as a man of peace who is passionately committed to the development of Lokoja.
Engr. Joan urged the family of the Late Traditional Ruler to take solace in the positive legacies the Late Traditional Ruler left behind, pointing out that under his reign, Lokoja witnessed unprecedented human and capital development in all leaps and bound.
The Coordinator explained that Kogi State and Nigeria has lost a detribalized Traditional Leader, a man passionately committed to fostering peace, described his passing away as a great loss not only to Kogi state, but the country as a whole.
Engr. Joan described the Late Maigari of Lokoja as a man who lived a fulfilled life said his wise counseling would be greatly missed by not only the people of Lokoja, but the country as a whole, described him as a father to all when he was alive.
While she expressed shock with the demise of the late Traditional Ruler, Engr. Joan urged the family to take solace in the good life lived by there father, prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss, consoled the people of Lokoja, the Lokoja LGA Traditional Council and the entire people of Lokoja on the sad demise.
Speaking on behalf of the Family, Ibrahim Kabiru Mohammed, Eldest Son of the Late Maigari of Lokoja, thanked the HYPPADEC Managing Director and entire Staff in Kogi State for standing by the family in this trying moment.
Alh. Ibrahim thanked HYPPADEC for the good works the Commission is doing in the State, assured of the support of the people of Lokoja to the realization of the Commission’s objectives now and at all times.
