The Nigerian Union of Journalists, Kogi State Chapter honored some sons and daughters of the State today the 27th day of October, 2022 with several categories of awards.
The awards were given to these individuals in recognition of their outstanding roles and contributions to the economic, social and academic growth of our dear State.
These individuals have proven their love and passion for the development of Kogi State through their stellar performances in their various fields of endeavor.
One of the recipients of the NUJ awards today is Mr. Richard Osaseyi, the Chairman and founder of the Osaseyi Foundation. He bagged the NUJ Humanitarian of the Year Award.
The organizers of the Event lauded his efforts at putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged across Kogi State by giving scholarships to Students who have been outstanding and Students who cannot afford to pay tuition and WAEC fees.
In the month of September alone, the Foundation gave scholarships to over one hundred students and rewarded over Seventy teachers for their Hard work and dedication.
Mr. Richard was tasked to do more as he was fast becoming a household name across the State and his acts of kindness and benevolence were not common.
The Chairman received the award with all humility and gratitude and promised not to rest on his oars as this recognition would spur him to do much more with God’s help.
The Osaseyi Foundation continues to be a beacon of hope to the less privileged.
