On Friday, December 1, 2023, the Okun Daughters Forum, a dedicated group of women working towards the betterment of their community, embarked on a heartwarming mission in the West Senatorial District of Kogi State. Led by their esteemed President, Hon. Towonifinni Mosiko, the members of the forum aimed to provide much-needed assistance and support to those in need.

Under President Mosiko’s guidance, the Okun Daughters Forum firmly believes in fulfilling their objectives by actively engaging with their community. Their recent visit to Rehoboth Children’s Home clearly displayed this commitment. As President Mosiko addressed the gathering, he emphasized that their visit was not just tied to the fact that the CEO of the orphanage, Chief (Mrs) Toyin Olaitan Awoniyi, is one of their matrons. Instead, it was driven by an unwavering sense of compassion and duty.

During their visit, YeyeAaremo Oluwakemi Ayodele, PhD, FNCS, the esteemed founder/initiator of the Okun Daughters Forum, conveyed heartfelt condolences to Chief (Mrs) Toyin Olaitan Awoniyi on behalf of the forum. Mrs. Awoniyi had recently suffered a profound loss with the passing of her brother, Engr Chief RD Olaitan, who had been a father figure in her life. The Okun Daughters Forum stood with Mrs. Awoniyi during this difficult time, offering support, empathy, and solidarity.

True to their nature, the compassionate members of the Okun Daughters Forum extended their philanthropic efforts to Ekundayo Orphanage Home in Isanlu as well. Mrs. Roseline Joash, representing the forum, graciously presented a variety of essential items to the orphanage. This act of kindness showcased the forum’s enduring dedication to reaching out and uplifting the lives of those less fortunate.

The visit to the Rehoboth Children’s Home and the Ekundayo Orphanage Home by the Okun Daughters Forum served as a powerful testament to their unwavering dedication in making a positive impact in the lives of others. Through gestures of sympathy, support, and donations, they exemplified the true spirit of compassion and community.

Their visit not only brought smiles to the faces of the children but also reaffirmed the belief that unity, kindness, and solidarity can work wonders in shaping a brighter future for all. The Okun Daughters Forum has proved once again that small acts of kindness can create ripples of positivity that touch the lives of many.

Through their selfless efforts, the forum has demonstrated that compassion is not just a feeling but a powerful force that can change the world, one act of kindness at a time.
