The Osaseyi Foundation has given scholarships to 66 pupils across the 22 public schools in Ijumu Local Government, 3 pupils were earmarked as beneficiaries from each school.
The pupils were considered for the scholarship in categories of best in mathematics, best in science, best in arts.
The overall best students (male and female) in WAEC from Ijumu Local Government also got N100,000.00 each and the and the best teachers (male and female) and female got N30,000.00 each from the foundation.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the foundation, a philanthropist, Mr. Richard Osaseyi, a graduate of Political Science during his opening speech welcomed the pupils and dignitaries on sit. He said his motivation is the interest is to build people who will build others instead of building mansions.
The Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Oba Olusegun Ayeni during his remark appreciates Mr. Osaseyi and his team for such gesture to promote and develop Ijumu Local Government. He added that Richard Osaseyi is becoming a household name in Ijumu and Okun Land because he his building people and not gathering material things.
The Oba prayed for the philanthropist for more wisdom and capacity to do more, he also payed for the beneficiaries and advised them to take advantage of the scholarship for greater heights in their academics.
Oluwakemi Omeiza Usman, Secretary, International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA Kogi) during her presentation congratulated the beneficiaries, advised them to identify their strength in order to guide them while choosing a career path in life.
The Chairperson of FIDA Kogi, Ajuma Lilian Okolo also charged the students to take their studies seriously in order not to put the effort of Osaseyi Richard Foundation and the scholarship to waste.
Mr. Osaseyi Richard in his appreciation said a data base has been created for the beneficiaries, the foundation will keep them on watch for proper monitoring and mentorship and will continue to sponsor and support the best performing students.
Mr. Wale lectured the pupils on the use of internet and computer, he added that IT knowledge will enhance their learning capacity and make them stand out. He also advised the students not to engage in cyber crime.

Okoro Gbede Development Association, Ijumu Development Union, All Nigeria Confederation of Principal of Secondary Schools, Ijumu Chapter and Students Union were all represented, appreciating the donor.
